🏟️ What is KYAA?

The Kutztown Youth Athletic Association (KYAA) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization that provides youth baseball and softball opportunities for boys and girls in the Kutztown area. We focus on skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and community pride—while making sure every child has fun and feels included.

🧢 Who can play?

KYAA welcomes boys and girls ages 4–16 who live in or around the Kutztown Area School District. Divisions range from Quickball for beginners to Babe Ruth Baseball and 14U Softball for advanced players.

📅 When does registration open?

Registration typically opens in December for the Spring Season and June for the Fall Season. Exact dates and registration links are shared on kyaaonline.com and our Facebook page.

💲 What does the registration fee include?

Fees cover uniforms, league insurance, field maintenance, umpires, and equipment upkeep. We keep costs affordable through sponsorships and volunteers. Financial assistance options may be available.

⚾ What divisions or age groups are available?
  • Quickball (ages 4–6) – Introductory, high-energy fundamentals
  • 8U Coach/Kid Pitch(ages 6-8) – Learning to hit and field
  • 10U (ages 9-10) – Kid pitch, skill building

🥎 When are practices and games?

Practices usually begin in March or early April, with games starting in late April and running through June. Fall seasons run August–October. Most teams practice 1–2 times per week and play 1–2 games weekly, depending on age.

📍 Where are games and practices held?

Most activities take place at Kutztown Park Fields, North Park, and nearby diamonds. Some travel is required for inter-league play.

🧑‍🏫 Who coaches the teams?

Our coaches are volunteers—parents and community members—who complete background checks and receive league guidance. We’re always looking for more helpers!

🙋 How can I volunteer?

KYAA is 100% volunteer-driven! You can help with coaching, concessions, field prep, fundraising, or marketing. Sign up during registration or email [email protected].

💬 How does KYAA communicate updates?
🌧️ What happens if there’s bad weather?

Safety first! KYAA follows borough field-closure guidelines and will post weather updates or cancellations on GameChanger and social media as soon as possible.

🧍‍♂️ Can parents stay for practices and games?

Absolutely! Families are encouraged to attend and cheer respectfully. KYAA promotes positive sidelines—please support players, coaches, and officials.
